Rat GFAP (Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein) CLIA Kit
The Rat GFAP (Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein) CLIA Kit is specifically designed for the accurate and reliable detection of GFAP levels in rat samples, including serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatants. This kit offers exceptional sensitivity and specificity, ensuring precise and reproducible results for a variety of research applications in the field of neuroscience.GFAP is a key protein found in astrocytes, the most abundant type of glial cells in the central nervous system. Increased GFAP expression is associated with various neurological conditions, including brain injury, Alzheimer's disease, and multiple sclerosis.
By accurately measuring GFAP levels, researchers can gain valuable insights into the pathogenesis of these diseases and potentially identify novel therapeutic targets.Overall, the Rat GFAP CLIA Kit from Assay Genie provides researchers with a powerful tool to study the role of GFAP in neurodegenerative disorders and advance our understanding of brain health and disease.

This CLIA kit uses the Sandwich-CLIA principle. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat GFAP. Standards or samples are added to the micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat GFAP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Rat GFAP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of Rat GFAP. You can calculate the concentration of Rat GFAP in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.
