The Mouse CD1d Monoclonal Antibody (AF488 Conjugated) 19G11 (AGEL0823) is a highly specific antibody designed for research applications involving CD1d, a type I membrane protein important for the presentation of lipid antigens. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with AF488 for fluorescence detection, is derived from mouse sources and exhibits strong reactivity with mouse samples.CD1d is a crucial molecule involved in the activation of natural killer T (NKT) cells, playing a pivotal role in immune response regulation and inflammation. The AF488-conjugated 19G11 antibody enables the visualization and analysis of CD1d expression in various cell types, making it suitable for immunofluorescence and flow cytometry experiments.
Its ability to specifically target CD1d aids in the investigation of NKT cell activation, lipid antigen presentation, and immune system modulation. With CD1d being a key player in the immune response and maintaining immune tolerance, the Mouse CD1d Monoclonal Antibody (AF488 Conjugated) 19G11 (AGEL0823) is an essential tool for studies in immunology, infectious diseases, and autoimmune conditions. By understanding the function and regulation of CD1d, researchers can gain insights into immune-related disorders and potentially develop targeted therapies for various diseases.

Background:
CD1d is a type I transmembrane protein and member of the MHC family, with a molecular weight ranging from 43-49 kD, depending on the glycosylation degree. CD1d is expressed by antigen presenting cells such as dendritic cells, monocytes, macrophages and B cells; also expressed by thymocytes and intestinal epithelial cells. CD1d present glycolipids to iNKT cells that recognize them by their Vα14i TCR.
