The Mouse CD183 (CXCR3) Monoclonal Antibody (AF488 conjugated) (CXCR3-173) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the CXCR3 protein, a chemokine receptor involved in inflammatory responses and immune cell trafficking. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with AF488 for fluorescence detection, is specifically designed for use in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications.CXCR3 is known for its role in modulating immune responses, particularly in the context of inflammation and immune cell migration. By targeting CXCR3 with this monoclonal antibody, researchers can detect and analyze the expression of this protein in various cell types, providing insights into its function in both normal physiology and disease states.
The AF488 conjugation of this antibody allows for sensitive and specific detection of CXCR3 in experimental setups, making it a versatile tool for researchers in immunology, inflammation, and other related fields. By utilizing this antibody, scientists can gain a deeper understanding of the role of CXCR3 in immune regulation and potentially identify novel therapeutic targets for immune-related disorders.

Background:
CD183/CXCR3, also known as CXCR3, is a member of the C-X-C chemokine family, characterized by a pair of cysteine residues separated by a single amino acid. CXCR3 is a 38 kD seven pass transmembrane receptor coupled to G-protein. It mediates Ca2+ mobilization and chemotaxis in response to C-X-C chemokines, such as IP10 (CXCL10), MIG (CXCL9), I-TAC (CXCL11) and PF4 (CXCL4). CXCR3 is expressed primarily on activiated T lymphocytes, NK cells, and some epithelial cells and endothelial cells. It is not expressed on B cells, monocytes or granulocytes.
