The Mouse CD161/NK1.1 Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated, PK136) is a powerful tool for researchers studying natural killer (NK) cells and immune responses in mice. This monoclonal antibody, clone PK136, is conjugated to the AF647 fluorophore, allowing for easy detection and visualization of CD161 and NK1.1 expression in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence assays.CD161 and NK1.1 are cell surface markers commonly used to identify and characterize NK cells and other immune cell populations in mice. The PK136 antibody specifically targets these markers, enabling precise labeling and analysis of these cells in both in vitro and in vivo studies.
With its high specificity and sensitivity, this antibody is essential for investigating the role of NK cells in immune surveillance, infection, and cancer immunity.Researchers working in immunology, infectious disease, and cancer biology will find the Mouse CD161/NK1.1 Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated, PK136) to be a valuable addition to their experimental toolkit. By accurately detecting and quantifying CD161 and NK1.1-expressing cells, this antibody facilitates detailed analyses of NK cell function and their interactions with other immune cells, supporting a deeper understanding of immune responses in mouse models.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
NK-1.1 surface antigen, also known as CD161b/CD161c and Ly-55, is encoded by the NKR-P1B/NKR-P1C gene. It is expressed on NK cells and NK-T cells in some mouse strains, including C57BL/6, FVB/N, and NZB, but not AKR, BALB/c, CBA/J, C3H, DBA/1, DBA/2, NOD, SJL, and 129. Expression of NKR-P1C antigen has been correlated with lysis of tumor cells in vitro and rejection of bone marrow allografts in vivo. NK-1.1 has also been shown to play a role in NK cell activation, IFN-γ production, and cytotoxic granule release. NK-1.1 and DX5 are commonly used as mouse NK cell markers.
