The Mouse CD122 Monoclonal Antibody (APC Conjugated, 5H4) is a vital tool for researchers studying immune responses and cell signaling pathways in mice. This antibody, available from Assay Genie, specifically targets the CD122 protein, also known as the interleukin-2 receptor beta chain, which is essential for the function of the immune system.CD122 plays a crucial role in immune cell communication and activation, particularly in T cell function and development. By targeting this protein with the APC-conjugated 5H4 monoclonal antibody, researchers can detect and analyze CD122 expression in various cell types, providing valuable insights into immune responses in mouse models.
This antibody is highly specific and sensitive, making it an ideal choice for flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications. Its reliable performance and validated functionality ensure accurate and reproducible results in experiments related to immunology, inflammation, and autoimmune diseases.By utilizing the Mouse CD122 Monoclonal Antibody (APC Conjugated, 5H4), researchers can further explore the role of CD122 in immune regulation, cytokine signaling, and immune-related disorders, ultimately advancing our understanding of immune function and potential therapeutic targets.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
CD122 is a 70-75 kD IL-2 receptor β chain also known as IL-2Rβ, which is also shared by the IL-15 receptor. It is constitutively expressed by NK cells and at lower levels by T cells, B cells, monocytes, and macrophages. The IL-2Rβ chain can combine with either the common γ subunit (γc, CD132) alone or with the γc subunit and the IL-2Rα subunit (CD25) to generate intermediate or high affinity IL-2 receptor complexes, respectively. CD122 expression levels can be upregulated by activation. The 5H4 antibody does not block IL-2 binding to the IL-2 receptor. CD122 is expressed on murine, but not human, CD8+ Tregs involved in the maintenance of T cell homeostasis.
