The Mouse CD117 Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated, 2B8, AGEL1185) is a powerful tool for researchers studying CD117, a cell surface receptor involved in cell signaling and regulation. This monoclonal antibody, derived from murine cells, is specifically conjugated with FITC for easy detection in fluorescence-based assays. It is validated for use in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications, allowing for precise identification and analysis of CD117 expression in various cell populations.CD117, also known as c-kit or stem cell factor receptor, is a key marker for hematopoietic stem cells and plays a crucial role in cell proliferation, survival, and differentiation. Its dysregulation has been implicated in various diseases, including cancers such as leukemia and gastrointestinal stromal tumors.
By targeting CD117 with this antibody, researchers can gain insights into its function in normal and diseased states, advancing our understanding of hematopoiesis and cancer biology.Overall, the Mouse CD117 Monoclonal Antibody (FITC Conjugated, 2B8, AGEL1185) offers a reliable tool for investigating CD117 biology in research areas such as stem cell biology, hematopoiesis, and cancer therapeutics. Its high specificity and fluorescence conjugation make it a valuable asset for scientists striving to unravel the complexities of CD117-mediated signaling pathways.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
CD117 is a 145 kD immunoglobulin superfamily member also known as c-Kit and stem cell factor receptor (SCFR). It is a transmembrane tyrosine-kinase receptor that binds the c-Kit ligand (also known as steel factor, stem cell factor, and mast cell growth factor). CD117 is expressed on hematopoietic stem cells (including multipotent hematopoietic stem cells, progenitors committed to myeloid and/or erythroid lineages, and T and B cell precursors), mast cells, and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) cells. CD117 interaction with its ligand is critical for the development of hematopoietic stem cells.
