The Mouse CD106 Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated) (M/K-2.7) is a cutting-edge tool for researchers studying CD106, a key cell surface adhesion molecule involved in inflammatory responses and immune cell interactions. This antibody, conjugated with AF647 for fluorescence detection, is derived from hybridoma cells and is highly specific to mouse samples, providing reliable results in flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications. CD106, also known as vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1), plays a crucial role in the recruitment of immune cells to sites of inflammation and is implicated in various pathological conditions such as autoimmune diseases, atherosclerosis, and cancer metastasis.
By targeting CD106, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms behind these diseases and develop potential therapeutic interventions to modulate immune responses. The Mouse CD106 Monoclonal Antibody (AF647 Conjugated) (M/K-2.7) offers a powerful tool for investigating the function of CD106 in immunology, vascular biology, and disease pathology. Its high specificity and fluorescence detection capabilities make it an essential reagent for studies aiming to elucidate the role of CD106 in immune cell adhesion and inflammation regulation.

Background:
CD106 is a 110 kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked transmembrane protein, also known as VCAM-1 and INCAM-110. It is constitutively expressed on bone marrow stromal cells, myeloid progenitors, splenic dendritic cells, activated endothelial cells, as well as some lymphocytes. CD106 expression can be upregulated on endothelial cells by inflammatory cytokines. CD106 is involved in adhesion and acts as a counter-receptor for VLA-4 (α4/β1 integrin) and LPAM-1 (α4/β7 integrin).
