The Human CD57 Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine5.5 Conjugated) is a cutting-edge tool for researchers investigating the role of CD57, a cell surface marker associated with immune cell function and senescence. This monoclonal antibody, labeled with PE/Cyanine5.5, offers high specificity and sensitivity for detecting CD57 in human samples, making it a reliable choice for flow cytometry and immunofluorescence applications.CD57, also known as HNK-1 antigen, is a marker expressed on a subset of natural killer cells and other immune cell populations. Its presence or absence can provide valuable insights into immune system activity, particularly in conditions such as viral infections, autoimmune diseases, and cancer.
By targeting CD57 with this high-quality antibody, researchers can accurately identify and analyze CD57-expressing cells, facilitating studies in immunology, oncology, and beyond. The use of the Human CD57 Monoclonal Antibody (PE/Cyanine5.5 Conjugated) opens up opportunities for exploring the role of CD57 in diverse biological processes and disease states. Its conjugated format enables precise and efficient detection of CD57, allowing for the detailed characterization and quantification of CD57-positive cell populations. With its superior performance and specificity, this antibody is a valuable asset for advancing research in areas related to immune cell function, senescence, and disease mechanisms.

Background:
CD57, also known as HNK-1, NK-1, and Leu-7 is a 100-115 kD oligosaccharide antigenic determinant expressed on a variety of proteins, lipids, and chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans. CD57 is expressed on a subset of peripheral blood lymphocytes, including NK cells and CD8+ T cells, and is also expressed on neural cells and striated muscle. CD57 is not expressed on red blood cells, granulocytes, monocytes, or platelets. While the function of CD57 is unknown, binding to L-selectin, P-selectin, and a fragment of laminin suggests that CD57 may be involved in cell-matrix interactions. CD57 is increased in some disease states associated with CD4/CD8 imbalances (AIDS, autoimmune disease, viral infections, and allograft transplants).
