The Human CD235 Monoclonal Antibody (PE-Cyanine7 Conjugated, HIR2, AGEL1096) is a cutting-edge tool for researchers investigating CD235, a cell surface marker with significant implications in the field of hematology and transfusion medicine. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with PE-Cyanine7, offers high specificity and sensitivity for detecting CD235 in human samples, particularly in flow cytometry applications.CD235, also known as glycophorin A, is a key erythroid-specific protein involved in red blood cell development and function. Its expression pattern makes it a valuable marker for analyzing erythropoiesis and studying disorders related to red blood cells. The Human CD235 Monoclonal Antibody enables precise identification and characterization of CD235-expressing cells, facilitating research in areas such as blood disorders, transfusion medicine, and hematological malignancies.
By utilizing this antibody, researchers can gain insights into the role of CD235 in erythropoiesis, red blood cell maturation, and related disease mechanisms. The ability to accurately detect and quantify CD235 expression in various cell types enhances the understanding of hematopoietic processes and aids in the development of targeted therapies for blood-related conditions.optimum detection and analysis in flow cytometry applications, this antibody is essential for studies focusing on cell surface marker expression, hematopoiesis, and therapeutic development in the field of hematology and transfusion medicine.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
The HIR2 antibody reacts with a common epitope of glycophorin A (CD235a) and glycophorin B (CD235b). Glycophorin A is the major sialoglycoprotein expressed on red blood cell membrane, and erythroid precursors. Glycophorin A shares strong homology with glycophorin B. The HIR2 antibody recognizes human RBCs and erythroid precursors and is useful in erythroid cell development studies. Mature, non-nucleated red blood cells are characteristically glycophorin A positive, but CD45 and CD71 negative.
