The Human CD1a Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated) is a cutting-edge tool for researchers studying immune cells and related processes. This antibody, known as OKT-6 (AGEL1588), is specifically designed to target and bind to the CD1a protein found on the surface of human cells. With its bright PE conjugation, this antibody enables easy visualization and analysis of CD1a-expressing cells through flow cytometry techniques.CD1a is a member of the CD1 family of glycoproteins, which play a crucial role in presenting lipid antigens to T cells and initiating immune responses. CD1a is predominantly expressed on dendritic cells and certain T cells, where it contributes to antigen presentation and activation of immune responses. By specifically recognizing and binding to CD1a, researchers can gain valuable insights into the function and regulation of immune cells involved in host defense and inflammatory processes.
This PE-conjugated monoclonal antibody is rigorously tested and validated for its specificity and sensitivity in detecting human CD1a protein. It is suitable for various applications, including flow cytometry and immunofluorescence microscopy, allowing for detailed analysis of CD1a expression patterns in different cell populations. Whether investigating immune responses, studying antigen presentation, or exploring the role of CD1a in disease settings, this antibody offers a powerful tool for advancing research in immunology, infectious diseases, and beyond.Unlock the potential of your research with the Human CD1a Monoclonal Antibody (PE Conjugated), OKT-6 (AGEL1588), and delve into the intricate world of immune cell biology with precision and clarity.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD1a is a 49 kD member of the immunoglobulin superfamily also known as T6 and R4. It is a type I membrane glycoprotein with structural similarities to MHC class I and is non-covalently associated with β2-microglobulin. CD1a plays a role in non-peptide glycolipid antigen presentation to CD1-restricted T cells. It is expressed on cortical double positive and single positive thymocytes, Langerhans cells, and dendritic cells. In addition to antigen presentation, CD1a has been implicated in thymic T cell development.
