The Human CD14 Monoclonal Antibody PE-conjugated (M5E2) (AGL2080) is a powerful tool for research applications involving CD14, a key cell surface marker associated with the innate immune system. This monoclonal antibody, conjugated with phycoerythrin (PE), offers high specificity and sensitivity for the detection of CD14 in human samples.CD14 is a crucial component of the innate immune response, playing a significant role in the recognition of bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and other pathogen-associated molecular patterns. By binding to CD14, this antibody allows for the visualization and analysis of CD14-expressing cells in flow cytometry and other immunological assays.
With its ability to specifically target CD14, this antibody is essential for studies exploring immune responses, inflammation, infection, and related processes in both health and disease. Researchers in fields such as immunology, infectious diseases, and inflammation will find this antibody invaluable for their investigations into the mechanisms underlying immune system regulation and function.Overall, the Human CD14 Monoclonal Antibody PE-conjugated (M5E2) (AGL2080) is a reliable reagent that enables precise and accurate detection of CD14, facilitating deeper insights into the role of this important molecule in immune responses and potential therapeutic interventions.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. The amount of the reagent is suggested to be used 5 µL of antibody per test (million cells in 100 µL staining volume or per 100 µL of whole blood). Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use.

Background:
CD14 is a 53-55 kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked membrane glycoprotein also known as LPS receptor. CD14 is expressed at high levels on monocytes and macrophages, and at lower levels on granulocytes. Some dendritic cell populations such as interfollicular dendritic cells, reticular dendritic cells, and Langerhans cells have also been reported to express CD14. As a high-affinity receptor for LPS, CD14 is involved in the clearance of gram-negative pathogens, and in the upregulation of adhesion molecules and expression of cytokines in monocytes and neutrophils.
