![]() | Western Blot. Positive WB detected in: Rat spleen tissue. All lanes: H1F0 antibody at 0.85µg/ml. Secondary. Goat polyclonal to rabbit IgG at 1/50000 dilution. Predicted band size: 21, 20 kDa. Observed band size: 21 kDa. |
![]() | Immunofluorescence staining of HepG2 cells with PACO56707 at 1:1, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). |
![]() | IHC image of PACO56707 diluted at 1:50 and staining in paraffin-embedded human melanoma performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system. |
Background: | Histones H1 are necessary for the condensation of nucleosome chains into higher-order structures. The H1F0 histones are found in cells that are in terminal stages of differentiation or that have low rates of cell division. |
Synonyms: | Histone H1.0 (Histone H1') (Histone H1(0)) [Cleaved into: Histone H1.0, N-terminally processed], H1F0, H1FV |
UniProt Protein Function: | H1F0: Histones H1 are necessary for the condensation of nucleosome chains into higher-order structures. The H1F0 histones are found in cells that are in terminal stages of differentiation or that have low rates of cell division. Belongs to the histone H1/H5 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. |
UniProt Protein Details: | Protein type:DNA-binding Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 22q13.1 Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; Golgi apparatus; nuclear chromatin; nucleosome; nucleus; actin cytoskeleton Molecular Function:protein binding; chromatin DNA binding Biological Process: nucleosome assembly; apoptosis; DNA fragmentation during apoptosis; cell structure disassembly during apoptosis |
NCBI Summary: | Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of the chromosomal fiber in eukaryotes. Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4). The chromatin fiber is further compacted through the interaction of a linker histone, H1, with the DNA between the nucleosomes to form higher order chromatin structures. This gene is intronless and encodes a member of the histone H1 family. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] |
